The man started showing symptoms on October 8 when he was still in Qatar. He took a flight back to Thailand on Saturday, where he had an assessment in a local hospital and was transfered to a disease center for further diagnosis, said Tares.
Lab testing confirmed the monkeypox infection, making him the country's 11th confirmed case, said Tares, adding that further investigation of the case is underway in an effort to identify any other potential infections.
Thailand detected its first case of monkeypox in July this year. The 10 previous patients have fully recovered, said Sophon Iamsirithavorn, deputy director-general of the Disease Control Department.

好消息是，凶手没有瞄准最要害部位，经过连续多个小时的抢救，斯洛伐克官员透露，菲佐“应该能够幸存下来”。

事情很突然，但也不得不说，菲佐的保镖，真的很拉胯。
更让很多人，也包括我在内，完全意料不到，凶手是一个71岁的白发苍苍的斯洛伐克老诗人。
没错，是老诗人，不是老实人，他出版过多本诗集，还是当地作家协会的成员。
看社交媒体上的视频，被抓的老人，喃喃自语：我不赞成菲佐的政策，不认同国家前进的方向。
这有点像前几年的安倍遇刺，也是在日本街头，安倍正在演讲，凶手靠近，砰砰几枪，不幸的安倍与世长辞。
但安倍毕竟是卸任首相，菲佐可是在职总理。事后查明，刺杀安倍，更多是个人报复；刺杀菲佐，却夹杂着明显的政治动机。
在欧洲政坛，菲佐属于左翼，他是老资格的政治家，四度出任斯洛伐克总理。
但他的一些政策主张，却不被欧洲主流待见，认为他太民粹、太亲俄。

比如，菲佐公开反对乌克兰加入北约，称这“意味着第三次世界大战的开始”，“我们需要告诉全世界：自由来自东方，战争总是来自西方。”
他还多次批评，西方对俄战略失败了。
四 | 而且，他还很欣赏普京，曾公开表示如果普京因战争罪遭到国际通缉，斯洛伐克会为他提供庇护。

德国不喜欢他，法国不认同他，在斯洛伐克，菲佐是总理不假，但也有不少激烈的反对者。
但在斯洛伐克，这一幕就在众目睽睽下发生了。欧洲政治撕裂暴力化，不由让人倒吸一口凉气。
还有，以前搞刺杀暗杀的，多是年轻人；但在斯洛伐克，这次掏枪的，却是一位71岁的老诗人。
菲佐遇刺后，我看到，西方社交媒体上，一些人惊呼：这是第三次世界大战的开端。
他们应该立刻想到了1914年的萨拉热窝事件。

这是第一次世界大战的导火索。萨拉热窝、斯洛伐克等地，都属于当时的奥匈帝国。
第三次世界大战，我觉得肯定是夸张。但我们也看到，欧洲领导人却不敢有丝毫大意，在这个大是大非的问题上，众口一律谴责。
法国总统马克龙强烈谴责刺杀事件，说自己很震惊；德国总理朔尔茨说，他“对这次懦弱的袭击感到不安”。
欧盟委员会主席冯德莱恩谴责这次“卑鄙攻击”，北约秘书长斯托尔滕贝格说他对暗杀事件“感到沮丧”，乌克兰总统泽连斯基也表态，强烈谴责这种暴力行径，“应尽一切努力，确保暴力不会成为任何国家任何领域的常态”。
刺杀也是会传染的，尤其是带有政治动机的刺杀，因为刺杀者总认为自己是在替天行道。
既然对左翼的菲佐，可以这样下手；那欧洲政坛其他领导人，左翼的右翼的，肯定都有激烈反对者，是不是都可能遭遇同样的命运？
可以肯定地说，欧洲领导人的安保，最近绝对会升级；但也可以肯定地说，类似的暗杀，不会是最后一次。
